Beer Can Chicken

1 whole chicken - skin on   olive oil
1 can domestic beer (Coors, Bud, Miller, etc.)   salt, pepper, garlic powder

Generously rub chicken with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Open can of beer and gently slide into chicken's cavity (making sure you don't tip the can and spill out the beer)

Set the can and chicken on your preheated grill.

The can of beer will help the chicken to stand upright. As the chicken cooks the beer in the can boils and steams the chicken from the inside -making it juicy and tasty. The outside skin of the chicken becomes crispy and delicious.

Of course, as you are waiting for the chicken to cook on the grill, you can sit on the porch with your feet up and drink a good craft beer and enjoy the passing time.
