Horseheads Pumpkin Ale Soup
     
2 cups Pumpkin Ale   1 lb. sausage – crumbled or sliced
8 cups chicken broth   2 cups onion – chopped
1 Tbsp minced garlic   2 cups green pepper – diced
¼ tsp sage   1 can pumpkin (29 oz.)
1 Tbsp parsley   4 cups tortellini – frozen
1 tsp thyme   4 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt   ½ tsp pepper
   

Heat oil in pan, saute onions til tender, add sausage and green peppers, cook til done

Add: broth, pumpkin ale, garlic, sage, parsley, thyme salt, pepper - Bring to boil,

Add canned pumpkin and tortellini - bring back to boil, reduce heat

Serve in a large bowl and enjoy with large cold pint pumpkin ale

Serves as many or as few people as you desire and who cares about the calorie content.
